Rock Hill is the fifth-largest city in South Carolina and the fourth-largest city in the Charlotte metropolitan region. It is home to Winthrop University, which was founded in 1886 as a training school for teachers. Downtown Rock Hill features the Huckle Grove pedestrian park, which is shaded by numerous trees cultivated from the sites of important events in the founding of the United States.
Founding partner Mark Chappell served on the legal steering committee following the May 2000 bridge collapse at Lowe’s Motor Speedway outside Charlotte.
